Pop-Up Print & Publishing Fair - 7.4.12
Our pop-up Print & Publishing Fair is happening this weekend, taking place at Piccadilly Place. We have some excellent publishers and artists in attendance, who will have stalls set up selling their works.
The event begins at 11am and will run through till 5pm. We have decided to put up some prints in the style of the photocopy club and we will have our own stall selling books, packages and zines we have self published.
Homemade cakes and treats ( including china cups) will also be available throughout the day.
It is looking to be a really great day, so if you fancy picking up some limited edition publications or even chatting with local publishers come down!

Another week, another film!
And we have a great film lined up for this Thursday 15th
Annie Leibovitz - Through The Lens
"This film traces the artistic self-realization of Annie Leibovitz, from childhood through the death of her beloved friend, Susan Sontag, and includes snippets of Leibovitz's last visual memories of Sontag. The film traces the arc of her photographic life, her aspirations to artistry, and the trajectory of her career through phases that included the tumultuous sixties in Berkeley, CA., touring with the Rolling Stones, a mentorship by Hunter S. Thompson, and, later, capturing the last candid moments of John Lennon's life with Yoko Ono. It closes with her reflections on life, children, and the the wake of her relationship with Sontag. The archival material presented here is invaluable for framing an understanding of this immeasurably influential visual artist."
And if you're not quite sold, here is the trailer.
Got any ideas, recommendations for Film Screenings? Let us know at the next session, we will be handing out pen/paper for any responses.
Annie Leibovitz - Through the Lens will be shown in Room 303 Chatham Building, we open up from 4:30pm and the film starts at 5pm. See you there.
P.S. We are still fundraising, so all donations will be greatly appreciated.

Film, film and more film
Josh R managed to get us a heap (and when we say heap we mean heap) of 35mm film, 35mm slide film, and 120mm film. With makes from Fujichrome, FujiColour, Kodak Portra, Ilford and Agfa the collection is vast.
We are selling these to anyone who wants to buy them, in bulk or individually at around £3 per roll for the standard stuff, the more specialist film will add a couple extra pounds on.

Print Auction Success
Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who helped make the print auction a success!
We managed to sell all of the prints, raising quite a nice figure of money!
A bidding war was on for the fabulous Laura Pannack print.
Adam Mead, who's work was on display.
Photographer and Photography Tutor Alan Jones getting in on the bidding.
The evening was great, with a lovely atmosphere filled with curious browsing, flowing wine, and panic bidding!
We personally believe we made the Link gallery sign just that little bit better, right?
Will Sharp getting in the way. One of the contributing artist's in the exhibition who also appeared in the print auction.
